Marie Micheaux, born Mary Martin, is a writer, architect, actress, and model. She obtained a B.S. in architecture from the University of Virginia in 1984. She furthered her education by studying in Venice, Italy and doing post-graduate work at the University College London and Harvard University Graduate School of Design. She worked in various firms in Boston including HNTB, where she designed schools, resorts, sports facilities and custom residences.

In 1989 Mary moved to Southern California and became a licensed architect with her own firm. She also wrote for various architectural publications. While specializing in International Exhibition Design, she fell into an opportunity to co-host a talk show, “Party Crashers,” as she was originally a guest on the show as an international architect. For several years following she worked as an actress and model for commercials, television, and feature films, such as “Friends,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” and “The Crow: City of Angels.” She was required to change her name for SAG and became Marie Micheaux. The film business became the focus of her life and architecture became a hobby.

In 2000 Marie moved to Miami Beach, Florida to focus on her screenwriting, real estate investments, and her own projects. And she obtained her real estate license. She also continued her modeling on the side. Unfortunately her real estate projects took over her life as the recession kicked in. By 2011 with the collapse of the real estate market she decided to refocus her life back to her true loves, her arts and entertainment. Through the years one constant has been Marie’s songwriting and other writing projects. These pursuits will be the focus of her next chapter.
